Let’s face it-summer is synonymous with bright colors which I have undoubtedly been sporting thus far. However, in the work place, neon hues may not be so welcome. Instead of opting for black, throw in some pattern or better yet, go with an unexpected dark shade like olive.
In this work look, I paired my Ava and Viv olive leopard pants with suede lace-up heels, tank, and sleeveless blazer. These pants are definitely work-to-weekend as they can easily be made casual with flats and a tank. They’re also a great transitional piece for the upcoming fall with ankle booties.
For a little more edge, let’s start with this jumpsuit-really comfortable and on first impression, pretty basic. Well, let me tell you, this jumpsuit is so versatile! I wore it for the first time to get manis and pedis last weekend with converse and matching red lip. Later the same evening, I restyled it with heels, accessories and an olive Ava and Viv anorak.
The Ava and Viv line seems to be a big winner in my area as the racks are always left with 2-3 pieces, and if I’m lucky, at least one in my size. I can only contribute this to you-the consumers satisfaction with the route the line has taken. I’m thrilled that they’ve taken the responses of their customers to heart, pen to paper and creating these awesome pieces that I, in return, can style and show you guys how to rock it.
I hope I’ve shown you that olive can be quite versatile and not so drab. I encourage you to try this shade out. Visit your local Target or check out my favorite pieces below.
