In keeping with my motto, Style is Not just for the skinny, today’s new designer spotlight is Theary Sim and her new plus size line “Youtheary Khmer” (yut-terri-come-air). Don’t know who she is? Well, I assure you, you will within the next couple of months.
Theary Sim is a Cambodian model turn designer. She began her journey as
a celebrity wardrobe stylist. Where she developed custom garments for
clients that wanted something more creative outside of the retail
market. Theary new that behind the seams is where she wanted to be, so
she developed her first standard ready to wear line in 2008 while
attending Clark Atlanta University. With the high demand in the curvy
community, she knew that she had to be apart of that movement, so in
2010 she went back to the drawing board and re-launched Youtheary Khmer
for the curvy woman. Theary thrives to effect change the
best way she knows how, which is through fashion.
ready to wear clothing. Youtheary Khmer wants every woman to love her

I love her use of color, lace and the curvy girl madate, lycra. Her line also incorporates the most coveted length of skirt, the midi in a plethora of fabrics from peek-a-boo mesh to lace. My favorite pieces by far, are the lace garments. Her line officially launches March 24th. Feel free to visit her site here for more options not seen here.
I am ecstatic at the rise of fashionable option for the curvy to plus size community. What are your thoughts?
