Have you ever kicked yourself for missing out on a great sale? Ever been hard broken that the one item you fell in love with on the rack doesn’t come in your size or sold out? Well, I’ve experienced many of these feelings for as long as I can remember, even more so as I gained weight throughout the years. With that being said, after a google search of a curve friendly jumpsuit, I came across this one below on ChicNova.
You die-hard fashionistas would have remembered this style jumpsuit circa 2011 from H&M. It was all the rave and I recalled people selling it for upwards of a $100 off ebay. Nutso!
Well, just my luck that Chicnova had it and in my size too! I was a little apprehensive because it was from an Asian website, but the look was uncanny and all my nostalgia from nearly 3 years ago resurfaced and I just had to get it. Plus the the 20% off your first purchase was not too shabby. TIP: make sure to read the measurements for each garment when shopping off an Asian site. Covert their cm to inches and you’ll be set.
I wore mine to Plus Night Out a few weeks ago. I decided to accessorize it with the corded tassel belt it came with. It was surprisingly windy and a little cold, so I threw on my long wrap cardigan in a similar salmon/coral shade. The only negative, which might be a personal one, is I’d prefer it if it was longer. With my 4″ heels on, the hem hit me right at my ankle (I’m 5’4). I would rather had it long enough to cover my shoes. In all, I love the 70’s vibe you get from this suit, not to mention its stretchy and versatile. It can easily be paired with a blazer for a structured look; denim jacket and converse for a laid-back look, and over-the head sweater or perhaps a see-thru sweater for added pizzazz.
