Here in NYC, we’re recuperating from an awful heatwave. However, it is September and although I want cooler temps, I’m not necessarily ready to pack away the sundresses and sandals in lieu of sweaters and ((shudder)) boots. With that being said, do white pieces count? With Labor Day coming up, the age-old question of, “Can I wear white after Labor Day” for sure would surface. In my mind, this arbitratry dress code is ridiculous and one that I certainly do not abide to. Did you know that this rule was created to separate old money elitists from the new money coming up in the early 1900s? While I love a great white look, this subjective rule has no bearing to us in 2018. I mean, hello, you’ve heard of winter whites, right? So, I say continue to wear your white pieces-whether linen or cotton in all your summer lovin’ glory.
