While it’s been brutal in terms of weather here in NYC, one day last week, we were blessed with a nearly 60 degree day. I made sure to take full advantage and pull out my crochet top, last seen here, and marigold yellow slacks. I find that wearing bright colors in the winter not only is a mood lifter, it certainly helps you get more out of pieces you already own, year round.
I find that during winter, the weather really affects my mood. The colder it is, the sadder my demeanor becomes. So for me, it definitely helps to have some colorful pieces in my wardrobe to help. My Valentino rockstuds in more ways than one, hits the mark and yellow slacks, although a bit oversize (I shouldn’t have ordered up), helps a lot. Although I’m wearing a crochet top, this look can easily work for a colder day by opting for a white cozy sweater or turtleneck paired with the slacks. To keep your feet and toes toasty, go for tights or ankle booties.
P.S. I recommend sizing up in this top if you’re busty otherwise for for your regular size. I’m wearing a sz 14.
