As of late, I’ve grown quite an affection for bell sleeve tops and ruffled blouses. This is definitely a trend that’s not for everyone, but dainty details like these make dressing for work that much for fun. By now, you all know I love throwing in the unexpected when it comes to my work-wear pieces and this blouse certainly fits the bill. The high collar top and exaggerated details make a great recipe for small office talk. Oh, and the best part-it’s only $10!!
I paired my blouse (crinkled-satin) with a leather skirt from Ann Taylor I purchased last year and the most comfortable heels I own, my Valentino Rockstuds. I’ve had them for two years now and as expensive as they are, I have definitely gotten my cost-per-wear out of them. The heel snapped in two on the left foot and my shoe cobbler was able to order new heels for them. Although they’re slightly different than the original, I must say that the lower heel certainly helps in the comfort factor.
Have I persuaded you yet? This blouse can easily be worn with jeans and boots for a more casual take. Since it has so many details, I recommend pairing it with a basic bottom to allow it to really stand on its own. Below, I’ve shared some other ruffle and trumpet sleeve blouses I’m currently coveting:
