If you take one thing away from reading my blog, is the necessity of purchasing versatile transitional pieces whether it be for an easy seasonal transition or more of a day to night one. Regardless, such garments will work wonders and help you come up with a myriad of styles. Today’s trench dress is such a piece. Yes you heard me correctly, a trench dress.
Below, I styled it as a long vest atop a basic white tshirt and fitted skirt for work. However, it can just as easily work as a topper for a denim and tee weekend ensemble. The trench is a classic staple that I’ve been missing in my wardrobe. Presently, not only can I sport this dress alone while the weather is still warm, come cooler temps I’ll stay warm by simply layering a sweater or denim jacket underneath. During the winter, I picture wearing it as a dress with a turtleneck and/or classic button down top under, tights, ankle boots or knee-high boots. -There, I just made 5 different looks with this one dress! Well worth the money, if you ask me.
