Up until last year, I’ve never been big on wearing jeans. I opted for skirts and dresses due to the amount of versatility they provided me. Not to mention, there weren’t really a lot of options for plus sizes. Fast forward to now, the denim options available to us are so vast so much so that you own it to yourself to test them out. Generally, I go for a dark wash in skinny leg and most recently, have become obsessed with bootcut and flare leg from Target’s Denizen line. The combination of the two gives me an illusion of length and defintely elongates my frame-score! Not to mention, a darker wash definitely works in most work places paired with a blazer and/or blouse.
Target dared me to come out my comfort zone and test out a pair of denim I would traditionally not go for. So, I did. I went with denim overalls. I could’ve gone with denim joggers or acid wash which scare me to know avail and so not my style, but with the help of my daughter, I chose denim overalls. I’m still quite iffy on them but I cannot deny the comfort factor of this pair. I love that the leg is more tapered which allows me to add a pair of heels to it to jazz it up, but it looks equally as cute with my Target brand gold sandals.
In this look, I wore them while sight seeing in San Francisco’s Mission Disctrict-the perfect background to the bold and daring street art from Mission’s Balmy alley.
