If you’ve been reading my blog for a while, you’d know that when it comes to office fashion, I rarely dress conservatively. I work in higher-education so the culture is quite relaxed however, that doesn’t mean I get to wear sweats to work…or does it?
What can I say about this sweatshirt? I’ve never been a sweats and sneakers type of girl, but between the color, and the word Brooklyn sewn across, it had to be mine. As a believer of making your casual pieces werk at work, I was determined to style this sweatshirt in such a way that I can get away with wearing it to the office. I chose to wear it on a casual Friday to be safe, but it could easily slide for any other day of the week.
I paired this top with a satin knife pleated midi length skirt that’s been siting in my closet for 3 months and a pair of patent Loubs-DONE and DONE! Aside from getting compliments all day, I loved that I technically wore sweats to work and got away with it!! It goes to show that pairing pieces in different fabrics together creates an instant symmetry.
