I discovered last year that I have a penchant for midi length full skirts. This year, I’ve gravitated towards the uber feminine tea-length (which is slightly longer). They’re so ladylike and do I dare say,
dainty. I love that they look just as good with heels as they do with flats. My favorite versions are in patterns like this gorgeous one below from Shabby Apple.
Ugh, it’s so pretty and immediately gave me this romantic vintage vibe. It’s in a heavier fabric, which I appreciate since it adds to it’s fullness and shape. It’s highwaisted, which I find helps given the illusion of a small waist. Ordinarily, I would have to pair my lightweight midi skirts with a petticoat underneath to give it that added volume.
However, this gorgeous brocade pattern skirt was great on it’s own. The detailing and workmanship is so apparent as soon as you remove the skirt from the package. I knew I wanted to pair it with a fitted top, however, it would look just as amazing with a pastel colored oxford for the office, a denim chambray or even a basic crop top.
