To kick off the work week, I wanted to share ideas around adding yet another universally flattering color to your work outfits. This is for you ladies out there who aren’t quite ready for bold colors and prints (btw, it’s 100% appropriate to wear color in the workplace). Military green or olive green, is a great alternative to the mundane black, brown, gray palate.
The outfit I am wearing here absolutely makes a statement without vibrant colors or intricate patterns. It’s classy with just a smidge of of personality and style. This skirt is perfect for transitioning into fall and honestly, works year round, minus summer of course. It particularly looks great with button-ups and blouses. Don’t shy away from wearing leather in the office. When worn in an appropriate length, it definitely fits dress codes. I paired mine with a denim shirt and a sleeveless faux suede trench from Target’s on-going Who, What, Wear collection. This trench may look impractical but perfect with a turtleneck or bulky sweater underneath during those breezy but not frigid temps. I’ve even wore mine with a shirtdress for added layer of warmth just last week to the office.
Here are some other pieces that I’ve got my eye on from the WWW collaboration:
I would love to hear how you are incorporating color and details into your workwear. Have a great work week and stay tuned for another work look on Thursday!!
