I’m very much a skirt and dress all-year-round type of girl, but I must say that finding a great pair of trousers has been on my list for some time. During a recent weekend sale, I ended up buying these Jcrew wool pants at a steal! They’re quality, the fit is perfect, and most importantly, they have stretch. I also greatly appreciate the range of colors these come in, so work-appropriate doesn’t have to mean boring. Oppose to picking a safe shade like gray or tan, I opted for the pink. Every once in a while, I love to throw some color to brighten up my day. For those of you starting to slowly introduce hues to your work wardrobe, I recommend beginning with a subtle shade.
Color doesn’t have to be bright and in your face. If it makes you feel more comfortable, try pairing a colored bottom with black or white to help offset your uncertainty on it. I paired my pink wool trousers (a must, btw) with a horizontal b&w stripe turtleneck for some added interest and to play off the shade. Clearly, this technique isn’t for everyone, so go with what works best for you.
Pss. Did you know that Jcrew carry up to size 20?! If you’ve learned anything from my blog, it certainly is to shop everywhere.
