Special thanks to @OldNavy for sponsoring this post.
This summer, I’ve had the pleasure of working with Old Navy in showing different ways to wear many of their pieces. Last month, it was all about the versatility of their basic t-shirts, which for me weren’t so basic. In case you missed it, you can read my colorful post here. For the month of August, it’s all about their denim. For a full figured woman, finding the right denim can be an insurmountable feat, that I know all too well. Aside from being reasonably priced, the best part of Old Navy denim is again, the versatility of the different cuts (high-rise, mid-rise, and low-rise) along with the various washes. For this month’s campaign, I decided to jump out of my comfort zone and forgo blue denim.
“Trends come and go but denim always need refreshing”
I can’t agree enough with that statement. Keeping that in mind, I decided to style a pair of blush pink and grey jeans- a first. Because I work in a business casual work environment, jeans are acceptable as long as it’s presentable and not worn during meetings. With that being said, I decided to style a work look that works everyday, not just on casual Fridays.
Although Old Navy carries a versatile line of jeans, my favorite cut is the Rockstar. Named ever so appropriately, these jeans hug every curve of my body, in a good way, while channeling Beyonce down the streets of New York. Oppose to the traditional, I decided to test out their Pull-on Rockstar Jeggings in grey instead. Ladies, I can’t begin to express how much I love these jeans. I mean, look at them! It literally looks like they were made for me, all 5’4 of me. Not only does it help sculpt the tush, it’s so comfortable and really feels like you’re wearing a pair of leggings. For the office, I paired it with a flowy white detailed blouse from their Modern Bohemian Collection. My office is freezing so while in-doors, I wore this Old Navy blazer with it.
Here are some other washes the Rockstar Jeggings come in:
Two words: PINK JEANS. It may not be for everyone but being the uber feminine woman that I am, I immediately was drawn to them at the store. Again, in the Rockstar cut, these beauties come with a lot of stretch and a little destruction. This look works perfect for the office as well as everyday. The Old Navy floral top (same print come in a dress too) in varied shades of pinks and purples, was the perfect pairing with these jeans. I also added a utility vest to the look for a little sporty twist. For the fall months, I already for-see plum and even burgundy tops and sweaters with it.

Best part of working with Old Navy on this denim post is being able to pick pieces that I ordinarily wouldn’t gravitate towards. I’m so happy I was able to step out of my comfort zone and try something new with these pieces. Even though I will forever love a great pair of denim blues, denim hues at Old Navy is a current obsession. I highly recommend you ladies give it a test run-you won’t be disappointed.
