Lately, I’ve been playing around with colors-seeing which shades pairs best with others. One color duo I came across was tan and green. Because the tan (whether brown, cognac, or caramel hues) grounds the green, it works for a visually appealing color block look. Think nature-grass, trees, etc. Below I paired an earth-tone turtleneck with my thrifted maxi length skirt and the ultimate cape coat for work!
(1) For a more fitted and svelte shape, I decided to have my skirt taken in from the hips down to the hem by my tailor.
(2) To wear it high-waisted and still be long enough to reach calves or ankle, I suggest choosing a longer length in skirt options.
