Happy Independence Day!
I must say, the Fourth of July is one of my favorite holidays. What’s not to love! Fireworks, grilled burgers, hotdogs and hot temps! Style wise, when you think of Fourth of July style, of course the colors red, white, and blue come to mind. It can really go left quick when you try to be festive and end up looking cheesy.
This year, why not go out the box with polka dots instead of stars and stripes. How cute is this skirt!? A month ago, I took you guys to the dressing room with me through my Instastories when I tried this skirt on. Smaller prints like polka dots tend to look more chic because they don’t overwhelm the eye. The key is to balance it with a solid color like white as I did here.
This year, I’m hosting our first BBQ at home. The weather calls for sunny skies which is perfect for our rooftop shindig. No parks permits to have to deal with or annoying bugs. Not to mention we should be able to see the fireworks from our roof. Make sure you check my instal-stories later today!
P.S. Im wearing a size 14 in the skirt.
