At this point, its no surprise that one of my go-to trends for the season is colorblocking. Mixing together colors and patterns is something that one might find daring but I encourage you all to try it. At this point, I find myself colorblocking without even knowing it. I think it’s even better when it’s already done for you as seen in today’s outfit. You might remember that I had a similar outfit of the day showcasing a readymade colorblock dress from ASOS click here. With the saying, if it ain’t broke why fix it holding true; I went ahead and purchased yet another dress.
Why I love it?
This dress is so unique. It mixes casual with chic yet work appropriate. The top is tshirt material very stretchy and the bottom is cotton stretch with a very unique asymmetrical double pleat detail in the front. The colorblocking is done with the colors grey and tan-a combo I would probably never incorporate together but end up working quite well. I paired it with some awesome cheetah print wedges which colors mimic the tan in the lower portion of the dress.
