2013 seems to be the year of the plus size two-piece swimsuit. The days of floral print and skirted swimsuits are long gone. It’s as if God himself imparted wisdom onto the designers, letting them in on the secret we double digit divas have known all along-that style is just not for the skinny.
With that being said, one piece plus size swimsuits have been upgraded as well. From fringe to cut outs to low plunge necks; the one piece suit is slowly becoming stylish again. Thanks to sites like Swimsuitsforall, who carries an array of swimsuits, coverups, and beach friendly fashions for ladies sizes 8 to 34. They were so kind to send me 3 swimsuits to review. Being that I was away for the Fourth of July, it provided a perfect opportunity for me to take them out for a spin.
I always loved monokini’s but never found one that was flattering to my body type. Either the cutouts were too wide or there was absolutely no bust support.
I’m a DD cup and because of this decided to size up to a size 14 yet found that the cup didn’t adequately cover my breast. This suit is definitely not water-park friendly but very much so for the beach and casual swimming.
*please excuse the pale face and dry lips lol.
The FRINGE Bandeau/Halter Suit
I love fringe and this summer we have seen it on several swimsuits typically in a triangle bikini top but S4A brings us this one piece (comes in black also), with just the right amount of eye catching detailing.
Wish I had sized down to a size 12 because of my short torso, I have a lot of bunching at the stomach. Besides that, love it!
I didn’t get an opportunity to wear this yet. I love the print and the mesh sides but I did not like that my breasts appeared to be much smaller in this. Also, if you have large love handles, this would not be appealing to your shape as the open back is quite wide. I don’t mind mine showing but in case you have preferences. I will wear it and take a picture of it and post on my instagram soon so make sure to follow me to see.
In all, I really loved my swimsuits and the customer service was impeccable. Make sure to sign up for their newsletters. They are always providing discount codes.
All three swimsuits were sent to me by Swimsuitsforall. The opinions stated in this review are my own which I utilize to inform and educate my readers. I would never compromise my integrity in exchange for any product.
