We’ve officially completed the first week of September and the weather here in NYC has us experiencing the fall season earlier than usual. While I’d ordinarily complain, it gave me a reason to begin slowly transitioning my summer pieces to fall.
This summer has been all about bell and flute sleeves and let’s not forget, ruffled everything. I recently added a balloon sleeve blouse to the mix. Funny enough, initially I picked this top because of the pattern mix of stripes and florals. It wasn’t until I tried it on did I notice the sleeves. This darling top maintains it’s shape because it’s 100% cotton, so it’ll always look crisp and tailored. As if I haven’t sold you enough, it’s quite transitional in that it can easily be worn with a pair of jeans (white or denim wash) or slacks (navy or black). In keeping in the blue family, I paired it with my navy ruffled skirt and white bow front mules. This look was actually worn to the office and gained a ton of compliments. Trust me when I say, it’s a great staple for the fall.
P.S. If you’re not into the pattern, the top comes in solid colors as well.
