7 REASONS WHY THE WOMEN’S MARCH SHOULD AFFECT YOU

Just about everyone person knows that women are organically strong, minus one orange president I will not mention, however the events of this weekend’s Women’s March showed our unbreakable strength in numbers.

Millions of women all over the United States, from Washington, D.C. to California to Boston, banded together to march against inequality and in defiance of the new president. Often times, we do not know our true strength until we’re tested and lord knows, one of the biggest test in our lives awaits us for the next four years.  With that being said, why should this march affect you?  Well, for one this march may

  • motivate more women to run for political offices hence more representation in government
  • Set the ball running for equal pay in the workplace in this country
  • Affect Trump’s legislation against implementing laws that will set women’s right back decades
  • Women no longer have to hold themselves against ridiculous standards when the president elect hasn’t
  • Call for racial and economic equality and anti-discrimination against LGBT
  • Continue access to affordable reproductive health care including contraception
  • Affect immigration reform and protections

While I wasn’t able to participate, I did support from afar and glad that family members and friends of mine were able to attend and have their voices heard.  Not to mention, instagram served a great outlet to some of the best protest signs! I’ve included some below.

I was at the San Francisco march this Saturday and attendance was about equal for women and men. There were a lot of men there showing support for women’s rights. The future belongs to all of us equally. These past few days (months) have been difficult for many of us, but if we are to endure I think we should also find ways to have fun along the way. So here is my contribution: in support of the #WomensMarch movement and women’s rights: I designed (free) stickers to help women express themselves and their attitude (nasty or supportive, depending on the situation) when they text each other (or anyone). There is nothing like showing facial expressions, and these are the most expressive stickers I’ve seen. I wanted them to be chic, diverse and uninhibited. In the Women’s March edition, the characters wear adorable Pussy Hats. Because we need to express ourselves now more than ever.

If you are so inclined, download the stickers and show your support and attitude when you text message friends (a sticker is worth a thousand smirks 😉 – I’m keeping them free so anyone can have as many as they like. If I can, I’ll keep them up for the next 4 years 😉 Use it to text your friends, show your attitude, and keep as a souvenir (not sure what iMessage stickers are? – we have the world’s easiest tutorial on the website).

    Enjoy! http://www.tellestickers.com
